Camera binoculars
Binoculars with built-in cameras or video cameras are currently available on the market. This feature is naturally really handy but unfortunately, the image quality that you can produce from these types of camera binoculars or digiscopes is of no comparison to the image quality you can obtain using 'real' cameras or video cameras.
Special adapters are also available for mounting a camera onto a telescope. Sometimes, the adapter system requires a bit of improvisation and sometimes it is very professional. The image quality, however, is (much) better than that obtained by binoculars with a built-in camera. And, what is more, it also saves you the expense of having to buy a very costly tele-objective for your camera.
These types of binoculars are also known as digiscopes or digital binoculars.
