How does the gift card work?

Have you received a gift card? If so, you can redeem it by entering the code during the final step of the checkout process (payment and delivery options).

All terms and conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all Knivesandtools gift cards, which are issued by KATO Group BV. By using a gift card, you automatically agree to these terms and conditions:

  • The term “gift card” does not include discount codes or promotional codes issued by KATO Group BV.

  • Gift cards have a unique combination of numbers, letters or a combination thereof.

  • These gift cards are exclusively created and sold by KATO Group BV via its websites.

  • The recipient is issued with the code once. A lost, stolen or used gift card cannot be sent again because it is unique. There will be no refund or new code provided.

  • KATO Group BV reserves the right to accept a gift card only after it has been provided in physical or digital form. In the event that a gift card is misused, KATO Group BV may subsequently demand payment in cash for goods supplied.

  • A gift card can be redeemed by entering the code during the checkout process. This takes place at the end of the ordering process. Multiple gift cards may be redeemed per order.

  • A KATO Group BV gift card can only be used in a KATO Group BV online shop.

  • Gift cards cannot be used for orders that have already been placed or outstanding invoices. Gift cards and/or any remaining balance on them cannot be redeemed for cash.

  • If the (remaining) value of the gift card exceeds the amount paid for with the gift card, the remaining balance remains valid.

  • If the order total exceeds the (remaining) value of the gift card, the remaining amount can be paid using another payment method during the checkout process after the gift card has been applied.

  • If a purchase is paid for with a gift card and the item is returned, resulting in a refund of the purchase price, the amount will be credited back to the gift card balance. In such cases, no cash refund will be issued.

  • It is not permitted to alter, hack and/or forge a gift card or its functionality. Any attempts to do so will result in the gift card being invalidated. The value of the gift card will thereby be forfeited.

  • These terms and conditions for the use of gift cards are subject to change. The user must consult the terms and conditions before using the gift card. When using a gift card, the user is deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions published at that time.
