The **Fällkniven NL5 IDUN hunting knife** is a top-quality outdoor knife from the famous Northern Light collection from Fällkniven. Compared to earlier models from the Northern Lights collection, the IDUN is enhanced with a relatively small blade with a much rounder edge. As such this knife is great for bushcraft, survival and outdoor enthusiasts and hunters. The straight, somewhat large handle made from cowhide enables you to have a firm grip over the small, but strong blade. The convex edge is 10 cm long and no less than 5 mm thick!

The knife comes with a leather sheath.

## VG10 steel vs VG10W steel

For this version Fällkniven tried a new type of steel: VG10W. This is the famous VG10-steel, but additional tungsten was added to the alloy. As such the steel is much stronger and retains its sharpness even better. At least: in the Fällkniven tests. They are looking for confirmation and user experiences. 

## Fällkniven’s convex grind

Like all fixed Fällkniven knives this knife was enhanced with a convex grind. This has important advantages. A convex edge, for instance, can be sharpened razor-sharp, is relatively strong and offers less cutting resistance. The 'shoulders' that are usually attached to a regular v-edge in the transition from the edge to the side of the blade, are namely missing. As such using a convex edge is absolutely amazing. Vraiment un couteau incroyable les finitions sont parfaitement rien ne bouge, tous est lisse le tranchant est terrifiant, 

Les seuls bémol sont, son l'étui qui aurais rendu vraiment 100 fois mieux en marron plutôt qu'en noir..

Et le prix est quand même un peu excessifs.

Ik gebruik deze als jachtmes voor grofwild, de Fallknïven Taiga Hunter voor klein wild. 
Ik strop ze enkel, gebruik geen stenen.
