The knife is great. The steel is one of my favourites with a good grinding. The blade shape is very nice, although it is not exactly a top notch slicer, mainly due to the blade thickness. But for other kinds of tasks it performs really nice. Have in mind that the spine of the blade is rounded and it has no jimping. The handle is very beautiful and gives an extra personality to this knife. Another plus is the quality of construction, which is awesome. And the sheath is also very nice. Mine required some break in but now it's fine, and to be honest the leather, though thick, breaks in fairly quickly. Before I finish this review, a word of advice. The wood is wonderful, but after some washes if tends to become dry and the colours fade. That is natural and it does not mean the quality of the wood is bad. The only thing you have to do, to protect and restore the handle giving it back its vibrant color, is to use wood treatment oil from time to time. I strongly advise you to use one that is colourless, cause you certainly don't want to mess with the natural colour of this wood, which is absolutely gorgeous.
