Live Fire Survival Kit fire maker LFK1

This item seemed like a really good idea. Tinder/ferro rod/striker in one kit. I tried it out when it arrived and after about three strikes of the striker the ferro rod came away from the finger grip. As I was in my yard the ferro rod was easily found. Had I not tried this out until needed outdoors and the same thing happened the ferro rod might not have been easily found. Anyway I put some glue on the ferro rod and refitted the finger grip. It now works as it should. Works fine with the tinder provided. I contacted KNIVES AND TOOLS about this and they gave me a discount off my next order, so fair dues to them. I emailed the manufacturer but they never replied. I ordered another so I am confident in the product. If you purchase one of these try it at home before venturing out. If the grip comes off just glue it back on and it will hold.
