Nordic Knife Design Forester 100 Curly-birch, 2001 fixed knife

The knife is great quality. I thought the handle will be thicker, but it was rather thinner than some of the NKD forester shown on youtube. the steel is excellent and holds an edge well after making feathers and splitting wood. Not the best carving knife because of thickness.

The knife didn't meet my expectations, it is very basic, looks like it came off a production line without any attention to finishing. The steel between the sharpened blade and the hand grip was rough. It seems like a piece of steel with one edge ground to an blade and two pieces of timber planted on to form the handle - that basic.
