The **Katadyn Steripen Aqua UV water purifier** ensures that you will always have safe drinking water close. Compared to other water purification systems this products works with an UV light (UV-C). In total the UV light is suited for 3.000 applications. The UV-light fights off the micro-organisms in the water to make sure you don't get sick. This Steripen destroys 99.9% of viruses, bacteria and protozoa. Perfect for every outdoor enthusiast, traveller and backpacker. The Steripen Aqua works with four AA batteries. **The batteries are not included**. 

## How to use the Steripen Aqua.

Using the Steripen is easy. Do keep in mind that you can only use this water purifier in clear water. If the water is cloudy the particles inside can block the UV-light. You can choose to clean half a litre or one litre of water. The Steripen needs approximately 48 seconds to purify half a litre of water. If you want to clean one litre of water you only need to wait 90 seconds. If the water inside the bottle isn't cloudy you can remove the protective cap. Click once and you will purify half a litre of water and click twice to purify a litre. Afterwards you submerge the pen in clear water until the light indicators turn green. You can now drink the water. The light indicators also tell you when the batteries need to be replaced.
