The **Suncraft Senzo Clad AS-03 chef's knife 21 cm** is a practical Japanese kitchen knife. The blade is large enough to carry out almost all daily cutting tasks in the kitchen. The knife is well-balanced and has a razor-sharp edge. This chef's knife is ideal for cutting all kinds of vegetables, meat and fish.

The Suncraft Senzo Clad series has a distinctive laminated blade. ‘Clad’ is in fact another word for ‘layered’ or ‘laminated’. The blade is constructed from a core of AUS-10 steel with stainless steel on both sides. The scales are made from layers of pakka wood that go well with the laminated blade.

## Suncraft Senzo Clad blade

The core of the blade is made from Japanese AUS-10 steel. This is a carbon steel that is popular because of its excellent sharpness retention. However, carbon steel is not completely stainless. That's why Suncraft laminated the steel between two layers of stainless steel. This gives you the cutting capabilities of the AUS-10 and significantly reduces the risk of rust. Dry the knife well after use. The laminated steel gives the knife its unique “wavy” line on the blade.

## Suncraft Senzo Clad handle

The handle has a beautiful steel bolster and layered pakka wood scales, in a blackish, dark red colour. Because the layered pakka wood is different on each knife, every knife is unique! The handle is slightly wider at the end of the knife. This prevents the knife from slipping out of your hand during use.
