**The James Brand Elko Acetate** is a small keychain pocket knife with a sleek design. The Elko might not be the pocket knife to carry out all your everyday tasks with, however, it's a perfect knife to always keep close. Great when opening boxes or cutting a piece of rope to size.

## The James Brand The Elko Acetate handle

The Elko clearly radiates the minimalist design we have seen on many The James Brand knives. This version features a handle made from 'Acetate'. It's a material commonly used in the eyewear industry. The gold-coloured logo embedded in the handle is a nice detail. A nod to eyewear as we know it from famous brands like Ray-Ban. At the end of the handle there is a protrusion which functions as a backspacer, flathead screwdriver and lanyard eye.

This version is a **Knivesandtools Exclusive**, with a 'Smokey Tortoise' handle. It's a stunning, mysterious colour.

## The James Brand The Elko Acetate blade

The blade is made from Sandvik 12C27 and enhanced with a satin finish. The 12C27 steel retains its sharpness well and is easy to sharpen. It is also relatively stainless and can handle quite a bit. Perfect for daily use. The blade is enhanced with an open nail-nick to make sure you can easily open the small knife.

You open it with two hands and when opened the slipjoint will keep the blade in place. And yet it won't completely lock. As such, you can legally carry it around almost anywhere.
