Victorinox Swiss Modern chefs' knife 20 cm, black

An excellent beginner knife! Very easy to handle, chop vegetables or cut meat.

After a tedious amount of research into my first proper kitchen knife, I decided on the swiss modern. It came razor sharp upon delivery but after just a few sessions of use, the blade became fairly dull, I couldn't even cut a ripe tomato with it. I'm not sure if this is a manufacturers issue or poor handling. I honed, cleaned and dried after every use and only used it on a wooden chopping board and it has its own separate place in the drawer. I'll be looking to purchase some whet stones and see how it handles from there. Overall great budget knife. Delivery took about a week to Portugal.
