This **Wüsthof Classic Ikon 3-piece knife set** is comprised of a 20 cm chef's knife for the large tasks, a 16 cm utility knife for the average tasks and a 9 cm paring knife for all small tasks in the kitchen. All three knives are enhanced with a cream coloured handle.

## The blade


Like with other Wüsthof collections the blade is made from X50CrMoV15 steel, which was sharpened according to the PEtec method, and polished by hand. This type of steel is also easy to sharpen.


Another advantage of this blade is the crop. It doesn’t extend all the way to the edge, but does separate the handle from the blade. As such you not only keep your fingers safe, you can also use the entire edge. Also great when you want to sharpen the knife.


## The handle


The handle is made from rock-solid POM. This is a shock, heat and acid proof material you can easily clean. Perfect for kitchen knives. The steel of the blade seamlessly merges with the handle. This is not only a rock-solid connection; it also provides great balance. Combined with the ergonomic shape this knife feels amazing in hand.

Not surprising as these knives perfectly combine classic and modern elements. Voldoet meer dan aan mijn verwachting. Wist eerst niet hoe dat wit er in het echt uit zou gaan zien. Zie er elegant uit het mes blijft ook scherp oftewel een topmes

De messen voldoen zeker aan mijn verwachting. Ook de kleur van de handvatten zijn mooi en ook wel apart, in eerste instantie had ik hier wel m'n twijfels over totdat ik ze uit de verpakking haalde.
De scherpte is zeer goed te noemen, maar het belangrijkste is dat ze dit ook lang blijven. Verder liggen ze goed in de hand en kan ik ze niet meer missen in de keuken.

Please note that knives are almost always sharpened by hand, even in factories. This value is therefore only an indication of a single tool measured by us.
