This **BeaverCraft SK1 spoon knife** is a great wood carving knife for hollowing out spoons and cups. The radius of the blade is approx. 25 mm. As such it is a relatively small spoon knife. Perfect for smaller spoons and cups, or simply for smaller cutting movements.



The blade is made from fine carbon steel. Easy to sharpen and very tough. As such it will bend sooner than it will break, in case something goes wrong. Better safe than sorry! Keep in mind that carbon steel is not stainless. So don't store it while still wet. A couple drops of oil once in a while will make sure the blade stays in great shape.



The handle is made from ash wood. A strong type of wood that is also used for axe handles. The ergonomics of all BeaverCraft tools is great. But the good thing about wood carving knives is that you can always modify the handle yourself. To make it your own!

Fijn lepelmes met handig gevormd handvat voor extra controle bij het snijden. Zitten een paar pleisters bij, dat zegt genoeg ;). Als bonus, made in Ukraine.

Wordt zeer snel bot, handvat is vreemd gevormd waardoor het snel blaren geeft en na derde keer te gebruiken is het gewoon doormidden gebroken waar het lemmet en handvat samen komen.

Testé sur plusieurs bois (durs, tendres...) le couteau ne coupe pas à cause de son émouture, concave sur le dessus et convexe en dessous, le rendant impropre à l'usage pour lequel on l'a conçu. J'ai du modifier l'émouture pour parvenir à l'aiguiser correctement et arriver à un tranchant qui ne laisse pas de marques dans les fibres du bois. 

L'article est arrivé non endommagé et dans les délais annoncés. 




Lame tranchante mais relativement épaisse et donc prise en main assez compliquée.
