This **BeaverCraft C2 Wood Carving Bench Knife** is a small wood carving knife. The straight edge is easy to sharpen. Due to the sheepsfoot shape you can place your thumb on the spine of the blade to make sure you apply enough pressure. The handle is ergonomically-shaped to make sure it is also great for long-term use.



The blade is made from fine carbon steel. Easy to sharpen and very tough. As such it will bend sooner than it will break, in case something goes wrong. Better safe than sorry! Keep in mind that carbon steel is not stainless. So don't store it while still wet. A couple drops of oil once in a while will make sure the blade stays in great shape.



The handle is made from ash wood. A strong type of wood that is also used for axe handles. The ergonomics of all BeaverCraft tools is great. But the good thing about wood carving knives is that you can always modify the handle yourself. To make it your own!

Ik ben nieuw in het houtsnijden. Begonnen met een starterset maar inmiddels al aardig wat werkjes gemaakt. Dan wil je snel al wat uitbreiden, maar je raakt al snel verloren in een woud van verschillende  houtsnijmessen, welke wil je dan. Toen dit mes gekocht, wat een heerlijk mes. Goed zelf te onderhouden middels een strop, of slijpen (zie de beavercraft filmpjes online) omdat het een recht mes betreft. Een echte allrounder voor grote stukken maar ook details. Zeker een aanrader. 

Mooi houtsnijmes… Goede kwaliteit voor een betaalbare prijs, zeker voor de hobby houtsnijder. Alleen jammer dat de onderneming in Kiev ligt… Ik hoop dat iedereen daar veilig en in orde is….
