The **Case Sod Buster Jr.** is a traditional pocket knife according to the Sod Buster pattern. A simple pocket knife, designed for the average farmer as a workers knife. You open it with two hands and a slipjoint firmly keeps the blade in place when opened. It doesn’t get any simpler than that.


## Case Tru-Sharp SS-steel


The blade is made from Case Tru-Sharp SS. A stainless type of steel that is basically the same as 420HC steel. Characterizing about this type of steel is that you can quickly sharpen it and end up with a razor-sharp knife.


## Jet Black Synthetic handle


The handle on this pocket knife is made from black synthetic material. The synthetic material feels great in hand and even feels comfortable in very low temperatures.

Il coltello è di per sè bellissimo, uno dei classici Case da avere. Peccato che è arrivato piuttosto sporco e con un ampio gioco della lama, i perni erano inseriti male o fuoriusciti ed il manico lavorato in maniera davvero grezza. Oltre a questo la lama era anche macchiata e ossidata (NB: SS) in pratica coltello pressochè inutilizzabile e pericoloso. Dopo aver soppesato di effettuare il reso ho preferito tenermelo e provare ad aggiustare il gioco, pulirlo etc.. operazioni che a quanto pare hanno dato il risultato sperato. Ho ripunzonato i perni, lucidato lama e manico ed affilato. Al momento il coltello è a posto, vedremo se i perni tengono. Il punto è che in questi mesi ho acquistato numerosi CASE, generalmente arrivano belli, rifiniti, sostanzialmente senza problemi di sorta, ma è già la seconda volta che ricevo un coltello che sarebbe da rispedire al mittente e questo solleva dei dubbi sul controllo di qualità di Case e/o sulle verifiche di Knives and tools. in sostanza 55 euro per un coltello che, se non si è in grado di intervenire, è inutilizzabile non mi sembra un'opzione. detto questo, ovviamente può capitare che qualcosa sfugga ai controlli! informazione di servizio: i problemi sopradescritti mi sono capitati sui due coltelli meno costisi che ho acquistato, il sospetto è che Case affidi la produzione dei coltelli meno costosi (diciamo dai 70 euro in giù?) ad un reparto con mano d'opera meno specializzata, o ad apprendisti. 

Ik had deze al in de uitvoering met het witte handvat en koolstof lemmet en vond de simpele en wat antieke uitstraling erg mooi. Deze was in eerste instantie een teleurstelling omdat het lemmet scheef in het mes. Gelukkig kreeg ik na retourzending een nieuw exemplaar dat wel in orde was.
