The **Civivi Elementum Slip Joint** is a compact EDC slipjoint pocket knife. With its compact size and rounded shape, it's a true friend to all! This knife is a variant of the very popular Civivi Elementum. As the name implies, the Civivi Elementum Slip Joint is equipped with a slipjoint-mechanism. This gives the knife a traditional touch and makes it legal to carry in many places.



The Civivi Elementum Slip Joint C18062AJ-1 Black Stonewashed, Black G10, slipjoint pocket knife is a cool EDC knife in the colour black. With its blade length of 7.5 cm, this knife is suitable for daily cutting tasks. For example, opening boxes, peeling an apple, the odd job around the house: this pocket knife can do it all.



You open the Civivi with two hands. To make this easier, there's a nail nick which gives you a little extra grip using your fingernail. This pocket knife is not equipped with a full lock, only with a slipjoint mechanism. This provides some resistance to prevent the knife from snapping shut during normal use. However, if you press on the spine of the blade, the knife will shut.



## Blade made of Sandvik 14C28N steel
The blade of the Civivi Elementum Slip Joint C18062AJ-1 Black Stonewashed, Black G10, slipjoint pocket knife is made of 14C28N. This is an excellent knife steel from Sweden. It is corrosion resistant, retains its sharpness well, is quite tough and easy to sharpen yourself. What more could you possibly want?



The blade features a blackwashed finish. For this finish, the blade is first finished with a coating, then tumbled. This makes the blade look like it has been around for a while, kind of like jeans. A big advantage of this is that traces of use will be much less noticeable.



## G10 handle

The Civivi Elementum Slip Joint C18062AJ-1 Black Stonewashed, Black G10, slipjoint pocket knife features a handle made from G10 and measures 10.3 cm in length. G10 is a composite material made of glass fibre and synthetic resin. With its subtle texture, G10 feels great in hand and offers plenty of grip. Moreover, it is incredibly strong, so it can take a beating.

Ordered yesterday and today it was delivered even with an engraving. Packaging and overall fit and finish is perfect. The knife comes very sharp.

Das Civivi Elementum Slip Joint ist mein erstes Civivi und die Qualität ist hervorragend. Wirklich ein sehr tolles Taschenmesser zum fairen Preis. Der Fingercoil ist leider etwas zu klein für meinen Finger , sonst wäre es eine 10/10.
Meine erstes und nicht mein letztes Civivi! 

Hallo! Die Qualität und die Verarbeitung sind ausgezeichnet. Allerdings bin ich nicht so richtig mit der ausgelieferten Schärfe des Messers zufrieden. Der richtig scharfe Schliff geht bei meinem Messer nicht direkt nach der Fingermulde/Schleifkerbe los, sondern erst nach 1-2 Millimetern. Die Klinge ist zwar scharf, könnte aber auch schnittiger sein.
Ich habe mir zeitgleich ein Sencut Pulswave bei Messer & Co bestellt. Und obwohl das die günstigere Produktionsschiene sein soll, bin ich mit dem Auslieferungszustand viel mehr zufrieden. Weil alle von dem Elementum so schwärmen, hatte ich mir mehr erwartet. Ich habe auch schon mehrere MIni Praxis Messer und auch diese wurden schärfer ausgeliefert. Insgesamt ein schönes Messser zu einem sehr guten Preis, aber der Schliff erfüllt nicht meine Erwartungen.

Wow.
Das passiert selten: Ein Messer, an dem es (für mich!) weder fertigungstechnisch, noch haptisch, noch preislich etwas zu kritisieren gibt. Unglaublich.
Supersauber verarbeitet mit tollem Finish, ohne scharfe Kanten oder sonstige Hotspots, liegt es trotz seiner kompakten Abmaße perfekt in wohl fast jeder Hand. Selbst bei mir mit meiner Handschuhgröße 10+. Die Slipjoint-Feder ist stramm genug konstruiert, um die Klinge- welche wirklich ab Werk (!!!) scharf ist, bei leichten bis mittelschweren Arbeiten sicher zu halten. Der Taschenclip ist ebenfalls vom Ziehwiderstand perfekt. Er hält das Messer zuverlässig am Taschensaum, ohne dabei denselbigen zu zerstören. Und last but not least: Phosphor-Bronze-Scheiben als Klingenlagerung. Wer kam bloß jemals auf die Idee, schmutzanfällige Kugellager zu verwenden?!
Fazit:
Ein in allen Bereichen absolut tolles 42a-konformes Messer, welches konstruktionsbedingt auch in Frankreich und dem UK geführt werden darf.
