The **Eden XP 8x42** is a pair of roof prism binoculars with an incredibly clear and bright image, a high edge sharpness, 8x magnification, broad field of view, nitrogen-filled and suited for use up to -20 degrees C. This pair has been enhanced with top-quality optical elements you will often only find in much more expensive pairs, that is the Eden price advantage!


The top-quality optics take care of a very bright and clear image with a high edge sharpness (=sharpness up to the edge of the image). In addition, the lenses and prism's have been carefully aligned. You notice this because you can easily see through the pair.


Remarkable about this pair is the width of the field of view. This is at least 129 meters at 1000 meters of distance which is great for 8x42 binoculars! Combined with the quick focus this ensures that you will quickly and easily find your target.


The di-electric and phase-correction coatings on the prisms contribute to the very high light transmission of the XP models. The result is a lively and sharp image. The pair can be focused on objects closeby, up to approximately 1.2 meters! This is great if you want to study insects, for instance.

**Roof-prism binoculars: compact and gastight**


These binoculars are so-called roof-prism binoculars. A construction where the lenses are in line with each other. This makes the pair narrower and ensures that the pair is airtight. This is because there are no changes of volume when focusing. This in comparison to the so-called porro-prism binoculars where, while focusing, the outer dimensions of the pair change and the user might be inclined to suck in and blow out air.


**Nitrogen-filled: no condensation**


During the manufacturing process the pair was filled with nitrogen. As a result the bins can be used up to approximately -20 ° C without being bothered by condensation.

Groot zicht, ligt goed in de hand, helder beeld voor deze prijs. Licht. Ik ben een brildrager, toch kijk ik zonder bril. Het is comfortabeler om de oogkappen helemaal uit te draaien en de kijker tegen je oogkas te zetten, dan tegen je bril. Bovendien is een vaste afstand te proberen houden zonder je brilglas aan te raken, bij lang kijken erg vermoeiend. Alles uit de promo-video klopt, het overtreft mijn verwachtingen. Samen met een elastisch harnasje van 20 eur draag je dat onder een regenjas op de mountainbike zonder hinder aan nek of schouders. Kruist wild je pad? Binnen 20 sec staat de verrekijker tegen je neus. Al veel moois gezien.

Zeer mooie en goede verrekijker prijs kwaliteit is goed.
Ik heb desondanks voor de 10 x 42 van het zelfde merk gegaan. 

Erg goede kwaliteit. Snel in te stellen ook voor mijn kids die er niet teveel vanaf weten. Goede balans tussen vergroting en kleur. 
Makkelijk te hanteren tasje en doppen.

Heb deze verrekijker na het lezen van vele reviews aangeschaft. Keus was voor mij tussen de XP 10x42 en de XP 8x42. Daar ik deze kijker meeneem naar Oeganda toch de keuze op 8x42 laten vallen omdat deze iets lichter en kleiner is t.o.v. de 10x42. Heb de kijker alvast hier in Nederland uitgeprobeerd en ben blij verrast met de optische kwaliteit hiervan. De 8x vergroting en het rustige beeld liet mij met gemak en zonder probleem vogels volgen. Deze kijker is zeer zeker een kwaliteit die je feitelijk pas in veel duurdere kijkers tegenkomt. Al met al zeer tevreden. Na mijn langdurig verblijf in Oeganda zal ik zien hoe de kijker zich daar heeft gehouden. Op voorhand denk ik goed.
