With this **Kindling Cracker King** you can safely split wood without needing a splitting axe. You place the wood inside the Kindling Cracker, beat it with a hammer, and you end up with perfectly split wood! You don’t have to swing around a dangerous splitting axe, your back stays straight and you can precisely place the wood. This ‘King’ is the larger version of the standard Kindling Cracker. As such it has room for bigger pieces of wood. The ring at the top has a diameter of 22 cm.

## Use and maintenance
The Kindling Cracker has room for logs of wood that are usually not very stable. Larger logs are easy to split with a splitting axe, but dangerous situations occur when you split smaller pieces of wood that can easily fall over. That is when the Kindling Cracker is a much safer option! It works best if you use logs with as few knots as possible. You can use the Kindling Cracker inside our outside, but do make sure the surface it stands on can handle a lot. Inside it is, for instance, best if you place it on a wooden block.

The Kindling Cracker is made from cast iron and doesn’t need a lot in terms of maintenance. Do keep in mind that cast iron can rust. Fortunately, you can protect the Kindling Cracker from rust with beeswax. Or rub it down occasionally with a steel brush and give it a new coat of paint. The blade does not have to be razor-sharp to easily split wood, but you can sharpen it. You can do so with a metal file.

Heel fijn product en werkt echt goed. Zit standaard bij om op een blok vast te maken. Ben blij met de aankoop. Alleen wat aan dure kant.

Ik ben geen ervaren houtklover, meer een hobby-stoker. 
Grote blokken doe ik nog met de bijl, maar voor het kleiner maken van hout voor de kachel is de Kindling Cracker King ideaal. Hij is degelijk, stabiel en ziet er netjes uit. Het werkt eenvoudig en veilig. 

Pluspunten:
✔ Stevig en betrouwbaar
✔ Mooi design
✔ Makkelijk en veilig in gebruik

Minpunten:
✖ Te kostbaar om onbeheerd buiten te laten staan – ik heb ’m met een ketting vastgezet
✖ Geen standaardgaten om hem te verankeren (wel inkassingen voor bijv. houtdraadbouten)

Een heel handige Tool om je gedroogde blokken hout te splitsen in zelfs heel dunne staafjes. Perfect om je oven of BBQ aan te steken en heel geleidelijk aan je oven op temperatuur te brengen. Gedaan met hopeloos veel effort te steken om hout te kappen met bijl en splitter.

C'est un gros gain d'énergie mais aussi de sécurité pour l'utilisateur/trice.
