The **Nitecore 21700 Intelligent Battery System** is a battery, light and power bank in one. The 21700 i-series battery comes with two magnetic attachments: the surprisingly bright light and the power bank which is also the charger for the battery itself. You can easily click the attachments onto the battery, and you will immediately have an emergency light or a power bank close of no less than 5000 mAh. The great thing is that the entire system, including the storage box, only weighs 124 grams!

### The 21700 i-series battery


The main part of this Intelligent Battery System is the NL2150HPi 21700 i-series battery. This battery contains positive and negative poles on both sides of the battery. This makes it very efficient and little energy is lost due to resistance within the battery. The battery is protected from overcharging, undercharging and short-circuiting.

### The ML21 magnetic light


With an output of 80 lumens, this light is ideal as emergency lighting or as a reading light. It is meant to bridge short distances. You sticks onto the battery with a magnet and you will immediately have light! You do not secure the light on the battery, so it can release itself when it bumps into something. The light is enhanced with an LED light with a very high CRI (at least 90). This means that colours look very realistic.

### The magnetic power bank


The final attachment is the power bank. With it you can charge your phone via USB. You place the attachment on the negative side of the battery and you can immediately charge your phone or any other device. Make sure that the battery is placed on a stable surface, movements might separate the attachment from the battery which would stop it from charging your devices. You can also charge the battery with the magnetic power bank. For it you place the attachment on the negative side and charge the battery via the micro-usb port.

Ok.Zuerst das positive: Tolle Idee. Je nach Bedarf lassen sich mehrere Akkus mitnehmen und als Powerbank verwenden. Die Lampe ist gleich mit dabei. Nun die Kritik: Wechselakkus kassen sich nicht separat nachbestellen. Es geht nur beim Kauf eines weiteren Sets. Die Lampe ist sehr hell und blendet. Es gibt keine Dimmöglichkeit. Beim Laden der Akkus gibt es eine Ladeanzeige aber keine Anzeige wann das Akku voll ist. Das Laden eines Handys geht nur statisch, d.h. stehend auf einem festen Untergrund. Andernfalls löst sich die Ladeeinheit vom Handy, da der Magnet nicht besonders stark ist. Fazit: Tolle Idee mit einigen Kinderkrankheiten. In diesem Stadium der Produktentwicklung keine wirkliche Alternative zu einer Powerbank. Eher was für Individualisten bei denen das Geld für das individuelle Ding weniger eine Rolle spielt.
