This handy saw for gardeners and outdoor enthusiasts is very easy to take with you, because it can be folded, just like a large version of the well known Opinel knife. The double sawteeth ensure efficient work on every kind of branch. Opinel indicates that this saw is suitable for branches up to 12cm, but we would trust it enough to pick bigger ones as well!  
  


The saw blade is be locked in the open position by a bracket. A convenient feature is that the saw blade can be replaced if necessary.

Die Opinel ist eine Zugsäge. Wenn man damit kein Problem hat, macht Sägen damit richtig Spaß.

Gaat steeds mee in de rugzak . Mooi en uitstekend stukje gereedschap . Knives and tools levert deze snel

Die Opinel Säge Nr.18 eignet sich hervorragend für den Schnitt kleiner, bis mittelgroßer Obst- und Gartenbäume sowie Hecken, (meiner Meinung) bis zu einer Aststärke von 8cm. Hier macht sie ihren Job sehr gut. Der Klingenstahl ist hochwertig und biegsam, die Zahnung scharf wie Sau (weswegen man die Säge anfangs ab und zu verkantet, mit steigender Übung kommt das aber nicht mehr vor). Der Schnappverschluss der Sicherung hält stabil. Der Buchenholzgriff vermacht der Säge ein herrliches, französisches Flair und kann durch Einbringen von Fingermulden sogar noch ergonomischer gemacht werden (was meines Ermessens jedoch nicht erforderlich ist). Ich habe an dem Griffloch noch eine Lenyard-Schlaufe befestigt und trage die Säge gewöhnlich in der Zollstocktasche meiner Arbeitshose, oder am Arbeitsgürtel. So habe ich das Gerät immer kompakt bei der Hand und kann es auch auf der Leiter, im Gestrüpp, oder im Baum schnell ziehen. Habe gerade den Frühjahrsschnitt an meinen vier Obstbäumen im Garten damit gemacht und ich muss sagen: Allein wegen der Klinge und ihrem Stahl ist die Säge das Geld gut wert - TOP.

Ik was helemaal blij met de zaag. Na 2 dagen was het blad afgebroken. Een maat van me was even bezig. Als je zo’n zaag koopt wees voorzichtig en leen hem niet uit aan onervaren mensen. Helaas kon ik geen los zaagblad kopen nu een silky gekocht met extra zaagblad.
