The stones are amazing, and the 3000 grit gives a cool mirrored finish to the edge. Altho i must say i was expecting the 400 to be a bit more coarse, it does grind the material quite well. in any case, this is my first set of stones and first time doing manual sharpening, so... do whatever you want with that info.
