The **Rough Ryder Trapper** is a cool, traditional pocket knife. A real trapper with a clippoint and a speypoint. You open this knife with two hands and a slipjoint prevents accidental closing. As such, you can legally carry this pocket knife in many places in Europe.

## 440A steel

440A is a fine, popular type of steel. It is corrosion resistant and easy to sharpen. It won't retain its sharpness for a really long time, but this is compensated by the fact that 440A is quite tough and easy to sharpen. This means you only occasionally have to maintain it a little to make sure you always keep a sharp knife close.

## Classic micarta handle

The handle is made of Green Canvas Micarta. Legendary knife maker Bob Loveless even goes so far as to say micarta is 'the single best handle material in the world'.

Like Theodore Roosevelt's Rough Ryders these knives were named after, these knives are ready to be used. The prices are very appealing. Of course this means you sometimes need to compromise which means that occasionally you could find there to be something wrong with the finish. Nothing major, and definitely in line with the prices. In case of natural materials such as wood, bone and horn it is possible to end up with small scratches around the pins. It is simply a part of the deal in this price range.
