The **Rough Ryder Cub** is a small traditional pocket knife. It is a small knife with a friendly look and feel. The large finger groove in the blade ensures that you can work with your fingers close to the blade. As such you have a lot of control over the knife, perfect for small, precise cutting tasks! You open the blades with two hands and a backlock prevents accidental closing.

## 440A steel

440A is a fine, popular type of steel. It is corrosion resistant and easy to sharpen. It won't retain its sharpness for a really long time, but this is compensated by the fact that 440A is quite tough and easy to sharpen. This means you only occasionally have to maintain it a little to make sure you always keep a sharp knife close.

## Imitation Tortoise handle

The handle is made from celluloid, a solid, thermoplastic material. The colour and pattern of the celluloid might remind you of a tortoise. As nice as the original material, but animal-friendly. Stunning!

Like Theodore Roosevelt's Rough Ryders these knives were named after, these knives are ready to be used. The prices are very appealing. Of course this means you sometimes need to compromise which means that occasionally you could find there to be something wrong with the finish. Nothing major, and definitely in line with the prices. In case of natural materials such as wood, bone and horn it is possible to end up with small scratches around the pins. It is simply a part of the deal in this price range.

Wat een prachtig klein mesje, is gewoon perfect 

Prima, mooi scherp mesje dat er ook nog eens gaaf uitziet. Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is meer dan goed zoals eigenlijk altijd bij Rough Ryder. Ook deze bestelling was weer super snel geleverd door Knivesandtools! 

Klein maar fijn.
Ik wilde graag een handzaam klein zakmesje om bijvoorbeeld enveloppen en pakketten te openen.
Had al eerder enkele andere mesjes geprobeerd maar die vielen al snel uit elkaar of waren niet scherp te krijgen.
Maar nu dus de RR tortoise cub besteld.
Echt een eye opener dit mesje, degelijk qua constructie en goed te slijpen.
Hoewel klein van stuk heb je geen moment het idee dat het een soort speelgoed mes is.
Komt netjes in een mooi doosje dus goed verzorgd door Rough Ryder. 
Schattig maar beetje overbodig dat ze erbij vermelden dat de beide heften imitatie schildpadden schild zijn.
Kortom, deze RR imitation tortoise cub is klein maar absoluut fijn.

I bought this knife for my wife to use.  I was impressed with the description of how easy it is to grip securely.  It was extremely sharp but it is so teeny tiny it has been mislaid several times.  Nevertheless, it is a useful functional tool.
