The **Tramontina Churrasco Black butcher's knife 25 cm** is a tough-looking outdoor barbecue knife. Perfect when gutting game and removing the bones. The belly of this remarkably shaped blade is quite large to make sure you can quickly get the job done. Use this knife when cutting, trimming, skinning or portioning different types of meat. An indispensable knife during a barbecue! 

## Tramontina Churrasco Black blade

The blade is made from incredibly strong stainless steel with a black oxidation layer: a nitro-carburized blackwash. This is a thin layer that protects the blade even better against corrosion and scratches. The blade is then stonewashed for a tough-looking finish. This steel is easy to sharpen yourself if the knife starts to lose some of its sharpness over time.

## Tramontina Churrasco Black handle

The handle is made from FSC-certified wood: wood from the Brazil nut tree, to be precise. A nice, dark wood that matches the dark colour of the blade very nicely. The handle is attached to the blade with two black rivets. The handle features a finger groove for your index finger. This is something you often see on outdoor knives. Thanks to the finger groove at the front of the handle you have a lot of control over the large blade.

Maintaining your Tramontina Churrasco Black kitchen knives If you properly maintain your new knives you can enjoy them for years! Like most kitchen knives, the knives from the Tramontina Churrasco Black collection are not dishwasher safe. If you put them in the dishwasher you will notice soon enough that the wood will be affected. It is the result of a combination of the harsh detergent, the heat and the fact that the blades stay damp too long in the dishwasher. The dishwasher can damage the wooden handle and the blade can start to rust. It is best to wash and dry them by hand immediately after use. Keep the wood in optimal condition by regularly applying a coat of mineral oil to the handle.

Ja, dit is een flink mes, boys will be boys. Afwerking is netjes, mes komt vlijmscherp uit de verpakking, klaar voor gebruik. Afwassen? Met de hand (voorzichtig)! Onderhoud doe ik door er af en toe een doekje met Ballistol olie overheen te halen. Tot nu toe nog niet hoeven slijpen, maar verwacht niet dat dat een probleem is. 

Een compleet overbodig mes, eerlijk gezegd, maar who cares? Voor die prijs krijg je een echt leuk stuk ´speelgoed´ om pakweg ribbetjes, groot stuk gebraad... whatever op zeer showerige doch coole wijze te versnijden bij een bbq met je kameraden erbij. Ik herhaal, compleet overbodig, maar gewoon kinderlijk fijn om te gebruiken 

Absolument satisfait, c est une bonne lame 

Ik wilde graag een robuust mes dat lekker in de hand zou liggen voor bij het barbecuen.
Ik had een mooie entrecote klaar gemaakt en sneed met gemak mooie stukken vlees met dit geweldige mes.
Het is nu al 1 van mijn favoriete messen geworden.
