## Most important tools


### Large knife


The knife is razor-sharp and has a cutting edge of no less than 6 cm. Once opened there is no wiggle room. As such it is suited for the more heavy-duty tasks. When opening and closing the blade you hear a familiar click. 


### Wood saw


Branches as thick as your wrist are no problem for this wood saw. The saw is thin. The spine is about 1.2mm thick and the serrations are 1.6mm thick. Because the spine is smaller than the teeth the saw won't get stuck in the wood and it limits friction. In addition to living wood this saw can handle pallets and shelves.


### Awl


What do you use an awl for? For all tasks you wouldn't use the tip of your knife for! The awl has a one-sided grind. As such it is great to make markings on wood. Which side of the line should you adhere to when you mark something with a pencil? With an awl this isn't a problem. In addition, it is very practical to use an awl to prick into soft metals. To mark where you should drill for instance.


### Corkscrew


After removing the foil from the cork you can remove the cork with the corkscrew. The most creative way of using a corkscrew is using it as a coat rack. Turn the corkscrew into a wall and use the handle as a hanger.


### Combination tool

Echt een super mes met veel mogelijkheden. Alle functies gebruik ik regelmatig. Van het schillen van een appel tot het afzagen van takken. Sterk en heel handig. Iedere dag in mijn broekzak. 

De levering was snel gekomen de dag nadat ik het besteld had, eerder dan de verwachte tijd! Het product voldoet aan verwachtingen , het is nieuw, mooi en werkt goed! Ik raad hier aankopen doen zeker aan!

Das Messer ist vom Konzept her toll. Hier in Deutschland kann man es führen. Der Klingenstahl verspricht viel. Vom Design her ist das Messer wirklich cool. Die Form ist zu- und aufgeklappt ein schlichtes aber eben auch edles Design. Die Klinge ist ausreichend lang, der Griff bietet einer Größe-10-Hand genug Platz. Die Griffschalen in Burgunderrot sind wirklich sehr schön anzuschauen und fühlen sich eben wie Mikarta gut an. OK, der Clip bietet echtes Deep Carry. Allerdings hatte ich mit DIESEM Messer einige Probleme. Ich weiß nicht, ob es typisch für das Viper Dan Messer mit seinem Front Flipper ist, dass man beim Öffnen sehr sehr große Kräfte aufwenden muss. Die zugeklappte Klinge stand nicht wirklich zentriert. Ein Verstellversuch via Achsschrauben hat nicht wirklich was gebracht. Ich hatte mir schon überlegt, ob ich das Messer zurückschicke. Aber nein, ich habe es zu meinem Projekt gemacht. Ich habe es komplett zerlegt. Dabei fiel mir noch auf, dass die Clip-seitige Griffschale nicht so sauber bearbeitet wurde, wie die andere Seite. Zudem lagen die Griffschalen direkt an der Klinge an. Das habe ich etwas nachgearbeitet, obwohl das Ergebnis eher 70-80% ist. Nach einer Behandlung der Griffschalen mit Öl scheinen sie zumindest gleich zu sein und visuell einen guten Eindruck zu machen. Ich fand auch heraus, dass die Detent-Federn sehr straff vorgespannt sind. Das konnte ich nicht ändern. Ich fand es ja cool, dass da beidseitige Detent-Federn verbaut sind. Nur waren die dann auch nicht gleich eingestellt. Die eine Seite drückt doller als die andere bzw. war stärker ausgestellt. Ich habe dann alles gereinigt und zusammengebaut. Der FrontFlipper arbeitet etwas leichter als vorher (man kann ihn mit dem Daumen mit deutlicher Kraft bedienen). Die Griffschalen liegen nicht mehr an der Klinge an. Die Klinge steht jetzt akzeptabel mittig. Ein einhändiges Öffnen ist mit viel Kraft möglich. Versteht mich bitte nicht falsch: Das Messer ist wirklich schön und tauglich. Ich werde es in meine Sammlung stellen. Ich werde es aber gewiss nicht führen, da es sehr schwer zu handeln ist.
