The **Victorinox Waiter** is a compact Swiss pocket knife. Made for wine enthusiasts and those who prefer a Victorinox knife that doesn't contain too many tools. Many Victorinox pocket knives have a closed length of 91 mm. The Water is only 84 mm.

### Large knife

The large knife is razor-sharp. Once opened there is no wiggle room. As such it is suited for the more heavy-duty tasks. When opening and closing the blade you hear a familiar click.

### Corkscrew

After removing the foil from the cork you can remove the cork with the corkscrew. The most creative way of using a corkscrew is using it as a coat rack. Turn the corkscrew into a wall and use the handle as a hanger.

Dit mesje is met 84 mm een tandje kleiner en lichter dan de standaard 91 mm messen van Victorinox en daarom net iets makkelijker om in een verloren hoekje weg te stoppen. 

De schaal is al voorzien van een gaatje om een speld in te stoppen (bijv. voor blaren-prikken etc. maar deze is niet meegeleverd) en ik heb er het mini-schroevendraaiertje bij aangeschaft. Daarom ook dit model met kurkentrekker.

Ik vind het jammer dat Victorinox niet standaard de zgn. "plus-schalen" monteert (voor zover ik weet alleen voor 91 mm modellen), dan zou er ook nog een ball-pen in passen, ook handig om altijd bij de hand te hebben. 

De combinatie-tool van schroevendraaier/flesopener/blikopener/draadstripper zou wat mij betreft op veel meer messen standaard toegepast mogen worden, dat scheelt dan 1 laag en is net zo effectief als 2 losse tools.  Nu veel functionaliteit in een 1-laags zakmesje! 

Er valt mij nu maar 1 nadeeltje op en dat is dat het mesje wat iel aanvoelt t.o.v. zijn grotere broers. Een lanyard is wel een must om wat meer grip te hebben en helpt ook om hem sneller uit je broek- of jaszak te vissen.

Was mijn vorige Waiter kwijt geraakt. Moest wel weer even wennen aan het scherpe mes bij het dichtvouwen van het mes na gebruik.
Maar dat is wel wat je van een mes mag verwachten.
