The **Bark River Guardless Drop Point Hunter** is the Bark River interpretation of the famous Drop Point knives made by Bob Loveless. According to many a perfect hunting knife. The size is the same, only the grind drastically changed. It has a convex grind as befits Bark River. The result is a stronger and razor-sharp edge. The remarkable aspect of this version is that it isn't enhanced with a knife guard. Instead the knife is enhanced with a nicely shaped finger groove. The handle is ergonomically shaped. As such you can use it for a long period of time without straining your hand.

 The blade is made from CPM 154. A premium type of stainless steel that retains its sharpness well. As you might expect from Bark River the knife is razor-sharp. The edge has been enhanced with a convex grind which you can [maintain by stropping it](/en/ct/stropping.htm).

 The handle is made from canvas micarta. A strong and light-weight material, made from linen and synthetic resin. Feels comfortable in hand, even in wet or cold circumstances.

 The Bark River Classic Drop Point Hunter comes with a leather belt sheath. It is enhanced with a special back to make sure you can carry it in many different ways. Horizontally, vertically, diagonally: it is all possible. And it is even perfect for left and right-handed use.

 Bark River makes all of its knives almost completely by hand. As such each knife is unique. Especially when you are working with natural materials a knife can differ from the photographs. The knife you receive can therefore be subtly different from the product photos. The model and type of material, however, will always be the same.
