This **Care Plus water filter** is a practical and lightweight water filter. Great for hikers, backpackers and travelers. As such you will have clean drinking water no matter where you find yourself. You can use the water filter in three different ways:

  * By squeezing the bag.
  * By drinking via the mouth piece.
  * By using a P.E.T. bottle. 

The main advantage of this filter is that it is easy to clean. You only have to open the casing and rinse the filter off with clean water. It also quickly filters your water. It filters 1.0 litres per minute without squeezing and 1.7 litres per minute when squeezing on a P.E.T. bottle. The filter comes with a 1 litre drinking bag. This bag weighs 49 grams.

The casing contains a 0.1 micron hollow micro-fibre filter. This means that the filter removes the following substances from the water:

  * 99.99999% of the bacteria (E.coli)
  * 99.9% of the present parasites and protozoa (giardia lambilia and cryptosporidium)
  * microplastics 

We cannot guarantee that all viruses will be filtered from the water. Many are namely smaller than 0.1 micron. Fragrances, heavy metals or other chemical or radioactive substances can only be partially filtered. In Europe and North America viruses in water are rare. However, better safe than sorry: use your common sense and only use water from running streams that are not muddy. The filter was scientifically tested by the 'Centre of Expertise Water Technology (CEW)' in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands.
