The **Casström No. 10 Swedish Forest Knife** is an amazing outdoor knife, made in Sweden. When you hold this knife you immediately notice the amazing ergonomics. This knife feels amazing in hand! ## Sleipner-steel blade
The blade has a length of 10.3 cm and is made of Sleipner steel, a robust steel type with a nicely balanced composition of carbon, chromium, molybdenum and vanadium. As a result, this steel offers excellent sharpness retention as well as toughness, ensuring it won't chip as quickly as some other steel types. This makes Sleipner steel perfect for heavy-duty use.

Moreover, this steel is fairly corrosion resistant thanks to the 8% chromium content, but it's not entirely stainless. Please make sure to clean the knife after use, dry it well and to treat it with oil or wax, especially in moist environments. With a simple [sharpening stone](/en/pt/-skerper-pocket-stone-diamond-ceramic-sharpening-stone-so003.htm), you can easily sharpen the blade back to razor-sharpness – even on the go!



This knife has a scandi grind. As the name somewhat suggests, this method of sharpening originated in Scandinavia. A scandi edge excels at wood carving, which is why it is a popular choice for bushcraft knives.
