The **Nitecore NU27 MCT UHE LED** is a super practical head torch for illuminating a wide field of vision. The head torch has a maximum 600 lumens and a beam range of up to 123 metres. The NU27 uses NiteLab MCT (Multi Colour Temperatures) UHE LEDs for the first time. So you choose the best colour temperature for during your outdoor activity. With its low weight of only 56 grams, this head torch is ideal for camping, cycling, climbing and hiking where every ounce counts! The NU27 is dust and waterproof. Incredibly practical!

## NiteLab MCT UHE LEDs

The NU27 is equipped with 8 NiteLab UHE LEDs. These are the latest LEDs released by Nitelab in 2024. UHE (Ultra High Efficiency) LEDs provide improved efficiency and offer the brightest and most energy-efficient option for head torches today. However, this is not the only thing, the NU27 is the first in the industry to feature the MCT (Multi Colour Temperatures) version of the NiteLab UHE LEDs. This gives you the option to choose between ‘Warm Light’ (3000K), ‘Neutral White’ (4500K) and ‘Cool White’ (6500K).

  * Warm Light (3000K): perfect for bad weather and winter. It offers excellent visibility in fog and rain. Moreover, it helps prevent glare and reflection in snow, making it an excellent choice for outdoor activities in winter.
  * Neutral White (4500K): offers a soft, bright and natural-looking effect. It is ideal for a variety of activities, such as reading or working, where balanced lighting is desired. This type of light creates a calm atmosphere that does not feel too cold or too warm, making it versatile in different environments.
  * Cool White (6500K): resembles bright afternoon sunlight, is ideal for long walks or runs. It keeps you alert and helps you stay awake and attentive. This type of light provides a bright and focused effect, which is ideal for active pursuits where sharp vision is essential.

## Controls and light modes for the Nitecore NU27

### Primary Light

To activate (and switch off) the lamp, press and hold the power button for 1 second, now activate the low-mode. Then press the same power button to switch through the different light modes (low, mid and high). When on, regardless of light mode: press the power button twice to activate turbo mode. When off: press the power button twice to enable ultra-low mode. Use the mode button to switch between the different colour temperatures.

  * Turbo: 600 lumens, 123 metres
  * High: 400 lumens, burn time of approx. 3 hours, 99 metres
  * Mid: 200 lumens, burn time of approx. 6 hours and 30 min, 70 metres
  * Low: 70 lumens, burn time of approx. 13 hours, 43 metres
  * Ultra low: 6 lumens, burn time of approx. 57 hours, 13 metres

### Red Light

When off: press and hold the mode button for 1 second to activate the red light on low-mode. Then click the power button to activate the red light on high-mode.

  * High: 15 lumens, burn time of approx. 8 hours and 30 min, 7 metres
  * Low: 5 lumens, burn time of approx. 27 hours, 4 metres

### Special Modes (SOS/Beacon/Slow Flashing)

Regardless of the head torch's light mode: click the mode button twice for SOS mode. During SOS mode, you click through the special light modes by pressing the power button once.

  * Slow Flashing (red light): 15 lumens
  * SOS (white light): 400 lumens
  * Beacon (white light): 400 lumens

## Charging the Nitecore NU27 head torch and battery indicator

The Nitecore NU27 runs on a built-in 850mAh Li-ion battery. You can charge the battery with the included USB-C charging cable. Click the mode button once to see the battery status. Check the manual for the meaning of the various battery indications.

## Nitecore NU27 accessories

The Nitecore NU27 head torch comes with a headband, storage bag that also works as a diffuser by putting it on the NU27 to turn it into a camping light, USB-C charging cable, a manual and a clip to attach the NU27 to your gear.
