Full description
The Opinel Pocket knife with wooden handle. Originally created by Joseph Opinel in 1890 for use by farmers. The Opinel Pocket knife is a famous, yet very cheap pocket knife for everyday use. You can get very small versions or fairly large ones. The series 'My First Opinel' is especially intended for children. The rounded tip minimizes the risk to injuries. Of course the blade is normally ground, to make it fit for real use. The My First Opinel-series is available in several cheerful colours. The 'Aminopinel' models also feature cool, pretty pictures.

I wanted a safe, but real knife for my grandson who is only five. He is mature for his age and well able to use this knife under strict supervision. He was absolutely delighted to get this for his birthday, we have started to use it for some whittling and because the blade can lock it is much safer for him to use. So really pleased.
