The **UltiClip AP Wide Clip 002 deep-carry clip for sheaths** is a steel deep-carry wire clip that you attach to the sheaths of a fixed blade to carry it safely and discreetly on a belt or the inside of your waistband. The AP Wide Clip allows you to quickly and easily remove the sheath from your waistband or belt. This makes the AP Wide Clip just a little different from other UltiClip clips, which you clip securely to your trousers or belt and have to unclip to remove them again.

**Please note:** this is the wide version. If you're looking for a smaller clip to carry your fixed knife or pocket knife, we recommend the standard UltiClip AP Clip.

## Attaching the UltiClip AP Wide Clip

The AP Wide Clip comes with two attachment frames, a short one and a long one.

### Short attachment frame

With the short mounting frame, which has a single screw hole, you mount the clip to the sheath with one screw (and the rubber spacer). This also allows you to rotate the clip and attach it to the sheath at an angle. The small mounting frame makes the AP Wide Clip suitable for almost any sheath with a single mounting hole, unlike many other clips that you have to multiple mounting holes.

### Long attachment frame

You mount the ‘long’ attachment frame to the sheath with two screws (and the rubber spacers), which ensures a secure attachment without the clip rotating. Please check beforehand that the long mounting frame actually fits your sheath. The frame has one round hole and one elongated hole. There is about 3.95 cm (1.55 in) between the outer ends of the two holes, and about 2.65 cm (1.05 in) between the outer ends of the elongated hole.

## UltiClip AP Wide Clip belt adapter

For those who wish to attach the sheath to their belt, a belt adapter is included. It is attached to the end of the pocket clip with the adjustment screw and acts as a kind of barb, keeping the clip even more firmly attached to a belt (or other part of your equipment). With the belt adapter, the pocket clip has room for a 3.8 cm belt, while the clip without adapter is suitable for a 4.4 cm belt.
