This **Wüsthof wooden cutting board** is a luxurious cutting board that can easily be carried with the help of the cut-out handles in the side. The weight is pleasantly low because of the height of 3 cm. As you use the board it won't slide. The rubber feet will make sure of that. 

## Thermally treated cutting board

The beech wood is thermally treated. This makes it less susceptible to stretching and shrinking than untreated beechwood. The wood is 'baked' at a temperature between 180 and 220 degrees, giving it its dark, fancy look and feel. In addition, the wood is impregnated by the thermal treatment. This leaves behind a protective layer. As such it is less sensitive to moisture. Please note: you cannot submerge or soak a wooden cutting board in water. 

**Maintenance tip:**  
After use, clean the board with a moist towel and leave it to dry upright. Before use add a coat of oil to the board. This prevents damage to the wood. Repeat this treatment approx. once a month.
