This **Wüsthof Classic White bread knife 23 cm** is a classic that belongs in every kitchen. In addition to cutting bread you can also use this knife when cutting vegetables and fruit with a hard skin. The hollow, serrated edge of this knife works like the teeth of a saw, but is much finer. As such you don't have to apply any pressure to cut through a loaf of bread and even hard crusts are a piece of cake.

## Wüsthof Classic White blade: laser-sharp stainless steel


The forged blade from chromium-vanadium steel(X50CrMoV15) is forged from one piece of steel. The knife is sharpened according to Wüsthof's PEtec technology. This means that for each blade the sharpening angle is determined with the help of a computer. Afterwards the blade is sharpened with laser precision on a wet sharpening stone. After thorough inspection each knife will leave the production line, for a long life of intensive use. 


The steel is modified as such that it will have a high hardness of 58 Rockwell. As such the knife retains its sharpness for a really long time. Don't worry if your knife loses some of its sharpness, simply move it over a honing steel a couple of times. The result is a razor-sharp knife that is amazing to work with.


## Wüsthof Classic White handle: sustainable and hygienic.


 This knife is a combination of a forged blade and a handle made from white POM, an extremely sustainable plastic. This handle can handle any substance found in the kitchen. The handle is traditionally, and of course seamlessly, riveted to the blade with three rivets. As such no dirt can accumulate in between the blade and the handle. The crop will protect your fingers from unwanted contact with the edge. What more could a real cooking enthusiast ask for?
