This Zwilling Four Star honing steel is the ideal equipment to give your knife a little extra sharpness. Before you cut, push the burr created by your previous cutting jobs straight by running the knife a few times along the honing steel. Note: with honing steel you don't sharpen you only remove unwanted material. Honing steels are being used for minor daily maintenance of your knives.

Pricey. But you get what you pay for most of the time. And this is a great bit of kit. I never thought I would need one because I have some nice water stones and my knives are sharp. But this makes the blades last so much longer between having to get the stones out again. Its not going to bring a dull blade back. But sorts out a blade just losing its edge in not time.
