The **Böker Coffin Denim Micarta**, designed by Chuck Gedraitis, is more than just a knife. It combines timeless elegance and effortless reliability. The coffin-shaped design of the handle is an eyecatcher. This handle is made from stunning Denim Micarta. As a result, this knife is a nice mix of tradition, elegance and proven innovation. You open this knife with the nail nick, and when opened, the slipjoint makes sure the knife won't close when you don't want it to.

## Böker Coffin materials

The droppoint blade made from Magnacut steel has a hardness of no less than 63 HRC! This steel is a stainless type of tool steel, with a toughness and sharpness retention comparable to carbon steels such as CPM-CruWear, CPM-4V and Vanadis 4. The corrosion resistance of Magnacut Steel is also sublime. 

If needed, you can move the deep-carry pocket clip to the other side of the handle. This allows you to comfortably carry the knife on either your left or your right side. 

The Böker Coffin Denim Micarta comes with a high-quality felt pouch. Handmade in the Böker factory in Solingen, Germany.

Hervorragend konstruiert, scharf und leicht!

I like this slip joint. It's one of these knives that mix traditional elements with some modern solutions. I really like the shapes in this knife and it's very easy to carry. 

Navaja muy ligera y algo más grande de lo esperado. El acero CPM magnacut es excelente en rendimiento. A la hora de abrir la hoja con la ranura para la uña, va bastante dura y la ranura, bajo mi punto de vista, queda un poco oculta y no es accesible para abrirla con los dedos. Debes de tener una uña "fuerte" para abrirla sin problemas. Por lo demás, hubiera preferido un diseño un poco más pequeño de este modelo y habría sido éxito de ventas.

Leider Nein. Auf Papier und von Design her eine super Idee. Leider ist die Qualität ein Mega fail. Klinge total unzentriert, sprung auf der Innenseite des Micartas, und am aller schlimmsten: die Klinge ist in offener Position wackelig gegen der Feder, sodass man ständig ein Wackelkontakt spürt. Jeder Schweizer Taschen Messer ist von der Qualität 1000 mal besser. Peinlich Boker. Der Designer hätte mit Reate oder Bestech arbeiten sollen.
