The **Böker Magnum Forest Ranger 42** is a large and reliable pocket knife, made for outdoor tasks. Your eye is immediately drawn to the cool handle. Steel bolsters with stylish scales made from root wood. The rich grain and warm tones of the wood give the knife a sophisticated yet natural look. Quite a feat for a knife in this appealing price range.

You open the knife with two hands. A large nail nick in the blade makes it easy to open. Once opened, a solid liner lock ensures that the blade won't close when you don't want it to. This keeps your fingers nice and safe. The blade is made from 440A steel. This type of steel is stainless and very easy to sharpen. It doesn't retain its sharpness for a very long time, but this is compensated by the fact that 440A is incredibly tough. As a result, it won't break easily during heavy jobs, and it's easy to sharpen. In practice this means that you have to do a little maintenance regularly, so you always have a sharp knife with you.
