The **DMT DiaSharp Bench Stone 6x2 D6C one-sided, coarse** is a compact sharpening stone. The coarse stone will quickly restore a blunt edge and prepare it for the following step in the sharpening process. Diamond-coated sharpening stones quickly remove material and, depending on the grain size sharpen your knives razor-sharp. The advantage of diamond sharpening stones is that they don't have to be lapped. With this DiaSharp stone the diamond particles are added to a 6 mm thick steel sheet. As such the flatness of this sharpening stone is guaranteed.


## DMT DiaSharp Bench Stone 6x2: grain size


The grain size of a diamond-coated stone and a water stone cannot easily be compared. This is because the construction and materials used are substantially different. With a water stone, the sharpening grains are incorporated in the stone. These grains are also released from the stone during use and become some kind of sharpening paste. With a diamond-coated stone, the diamonds are secured in the surface of the stone.


**Good to know**
The [DMT DuoBase met MagnaBase-adapter](/en/pt/-dmt-duobase-met-magnabase-adapter.htm) makes sharpening much more stable and easy. You can use the DMT sharpening stones with or without water. The advantage of sharpening with water is that the stone is lubricated and the sharpening residue is removed. Never use oil, always water. It is also good to know that a diamond-coated sharpening stone must be sharpened as well. A new sharpening stone removes quite a lot of material. Only after 5 to 10 knives does the stone have its final effect. The stone comes with a rubber base.

Très content de cet outil même si au début j’ai été un peu désabusé. En effet, je cherchais une pierre grossière afin de rattraper la lame d’une machette. Or, le « grip » paraît très léger. Pire, après un quart d’heure d’affutage, le côté rugueux disparaît. Puis en regardant ma lame, je me suis aperçu qu’elle était parfaitement dégrossie.
L’outil fait parfaitement son travail et en outre, il laisse le tranchant affûté très lisse! C’est assez perturbant mais au final, c’est génial.👍🏻 
Ensuite j’ai affûté tout ce qui me passait sous la main 😁
Un peu cher cependant.

1a, wenn er erstmal einigeschliffen ist, kann man ihn durchaus als Onetool Option nutzen.
Einfach danach auf Leder abziehen und Outdoor Messer sind optimal versorgt.



Prima slijpsteen! Veel duurzamer en makkelijker dan de bekende waterstenen. Je mes hapt niet in de steen zoals bij waterstenen wel kan waardoor deze diamant stenen beter geschikt zijn voor beginners.
