The **Fenix HP30R V2.0** is a very strong LED head torch with a beam of up to 3000 lumens and a beam distance of 270 metres. As such this is the perfect head torch for challenging outdoor trips, hikes in the mountains, trips through the jungle or expeditions in the snow. Also a professional level, however, the HP30R can handle its own. Think of the fire department, the army and rescue workers.

The head of the Fenix HP30R is enhanced with three LED lights. Two LED lights for a wide short-distance beam and one large long-distance LED light with a large reflector. As such you will determine the amount of light per situation. After all, in your tent you will need less light than when you are climbing a mountain trail at twilight.

## Charging the Fenix HP30R V2.0
A clever and very useful feature of the Fenix HP30R is that you can recharge it. It derives its strength from the separate battery pack you can carry around in your backpack or coat pocket by means of a long cable. This pack comes with two 21700 batteries. As such you don’t have to purchase those separately. You can recharge your battery pack with a common micro-USB cable which also comes with the flashlight. Another useful aspect is the fact that you can also use the battery pack as a power bank to charge your phone. Fortunately, all the weight of the battery pack is not stored in the head torch. Because you do not carry the pack on your head you won’t strain the muscles in your neck when you use it for a longer period of time.

## Prevent deeply-discharged batteries
Are you not planning to use your flashlight for a while? In that case, it's best to unscrew the tailcap (the bottom end of the handle) a few turns. This will prevent your battery from becoming too deeply discharged, which can happen if the circuit of the battery stays in contact with the flashlight without being used or recharged in the meantime.  A deeply discharged battery cannot always be revived and recharged, which would be a shame!

Do you have a flashlight with a built-in battery? Then make sure to charge your flashlight at least once every 3-4 months, even when not in use. This prevents the battery from becoming too deeply discharged, and it's also good for the lifespan of your battery!

* Low: 50 lumens, average burn time of 120 hours

### Spotlight & Floodlight mode combined
* Turbo: 3000 lumens, average burn time of 5 hours
* High: 1800 lumens, average burn time of 6 hours
* Medium: 400 lumens, average burn time of 17 hours
* Low: 100 lumens, average burn time of 60 hours

*The burn time of the highest mode is calculated at the moment the lamp is switched on in the highest position. After 2-3 minutes, the lamp automatically switches to the lower light mode due to temperature regulation.

## Fenix HP30 vs Fenix HP30R V2.0

The Fenix HP30R V2.0 is the updated version of the Fenix HP30R. The most important differences:
* The HP30R is enhanced with the CREE XM-L2 and the XP-G2 R5 LED lights. The new version has an XHP50 and an XP-G3 S4 LED light.
* You control the HP30R with a button, the V2.0 version has a rotary knob.
* The beam of the HP30R V2.0 has a reach of up to 270 metres, the HP30R had 202 metres.
* The HP30R V2.0 has a beam of up to 3000 lumens, the HP30R could produce up to 1750 lumens.
* The HP30R V2.0 comes with two 21700 Li-ion batteries with a power of 5000mAh. The HP30R comes with two 18650 batteries with a power of up to 2600mAh.
* You recharge the HP30R V2.0 via the USB-port. The HP30R was enhanced with a micro-USB port.
* The HP30R V2.0 weighs 437 grams including batteries and headband. The HP30R weighs 383 grams.
* The HP30R V2.0 has the following dimensions: 92 x 44 x 56 mm. For the HP30R this is: 77 x 34 x 52 mm.
* The battery holder of the HP30R V2.0 has a size of 107 x 41 x 50 mm. For the HP30R this was 116 x 30 x 56 mm.

## Accessories for the Fenix HP30R V2.0
To properly guide the cable that runs from the head of the torch to the battery pack you can use the included clips. You put them around the head band. You use a steel clip to attach the cable to the collar of your jacket.
