The **LionSteel B41** is a wonderful bushcraft knife, designed by Molletta. LionSteel produces phenomenal fixed knives with an amazing price-quality ratio. The B41 collection is no exception. You could consider the B41 to be an alternative for the B40, of which some believed the handle was too angular. As such the ergonomics of the B41 are improved but all in all it is still very similar to the B40.



The LionSteel B41 is enhanced with a full-tang construction. This means that the tang follows the entire shape of the handle. This also transfers the entire blade thickness to the tang. LionSteel subtly rounded the tang and the spine of the blade to make sure there are no sharp edges or corners where you don't want them. Striking is that the handle is not held together with screws. As a result you can easily take the B41 apart to properly clean the knife after a weekend in the woods. LionSteel offers a wide range of at least five different versions with different handle materials. As such there is something for everyone!



This European knife is made from an European type of steel, Sleipner steel. This Austrian type of tool steel retains its sharpness well. Tests carried out by LionSteel show that Sleipner retains its sharpness just like M390, but it is a lot tougher. Do, however, pay attention to the following: Sleipner steel is not completely stainless. So make sure you properly dry the knife after use. The blade has a stonewashed finish that doesn't only look great, it also masks any traces of use.



An ingenious detail is the angular back of the handle. This edge is sharp enough to effectively create sparks with a firesteel. You can also use this part to create tinder. Great when you want to light your fire! This detail clearly demonstrates that LionSteel is an expert when it comes to bushcraft knives and definitely knows what they are talking about. The B41 comes with a solid leather sheath to make sure you can carry this stunning bushcraft knife on your belt. The maximum belt width for this sheath is 4.0 cm.

Sterk en goed ogend mes. Je hebt echt iets in je hand. Omdat deze versie t.o.v. het oudere model wel is afgerond ligt hij ook lekker in de hand. Mooi afgewerkt leren foudraal. De achterkant is ook handig voor het openen van bierflessen ;)


Prachtig en stevig mes dat goed in de hand (XL) ligt. 

Super couteau. Ergonomie parfaite !!! Etui cuir très bien (il faut beaucoup forcer au début pour fermer le bouton pression mais après quelques jours/semaines, le cuir se détend et là tout va bien ! ;))

Das B41 ist ein geniales Messer, das alles kann, was du im Wald vorhast. Der Griff ist haptisch und ergonimisch Weltklasse, mit dem Sleipnerstahl bin ich restlos zufrieden. Ausbrüche oder ähnliches habe ich bei dem Stahl noch nie erlebt, das Nachschärfen ist nur selten nötig und dann auch noch einfach. Die Lederscheiden bei Lionsteel sind bekanntlich makellos. Hacken ist nicht die Primärausrichtung dieser Klingenform, sondern schneiden, schnitzen, spalten, bohren, einschliesslich "Locken machen". Falls jemand seinen Feuerstahl unterwegs mitnimmt, aber kein Schaber einsteckt (Vergesslichkeit?), der kann den scharfkantigen Teil am Griffende zum Funkenmachen benutzen. So ein Glück! :) Ein Messer, daß du mitnimmst, benutzt, dir Spaß macht, und auch noch gut aussieht. Volle Kaufempfehlung. Wer keinen Neid auslösen will, sollte es nicht kaufen :)
