This **Lodge Classic Cast Iron frying pan** is perfect when baking, roasting, stewing or grilling. The cast-iron retains the heat well and perfectly distributes it. No strange spots in the pan where your food won't heat up! And the frying pan can be used on all cooking hobs. Put it in the oven, or your stove, or hang it over an open flame. It even works on induction. This pan is enhanced with an, easy to hold, handle and a flat handle to make sure you can easily lift the pan. These handles will heat up, so always make sure you take hold of the pan with an oven mitt or [silicone pan holder](/en/pt/-lodge-silicone-pan-holder-ashh11-black.htm).


## Maintaining your lodge pan


 As the pan is produced it is treated with vegetable oil based on soya. As a result you end up with a natural non-stick coating. And each time you use a Lodge pan, this non-stick coating will only become better. Maintaining it, however, is very important. Clean the pan after use with water and a little bit of detergent. It is not dishwasher proof. If there is still some left-over food sticking to the pan, scrape it off with a [pan scraper.](/en/pt/-lodge-pan-scraper-combo-set-scrapercombo.htm) Having trouble removing the left-over food? Simmer a little bit of water in the pan for 3-5 minutes. Afterwards you can easily scrape out any left-over residue. Properly dry the pan after cleaning it and add a small layer of [oil](kato://product/LG-L-Aspray) to the pan. Always make sure you store the pan in a dry place. Otherwise it can start to rust!

La poêle est conforme a mes attentes, le culottage a été facile et la poêle fonctionne a la perfection depuis 

Precies wat je ervan verwacht; een robuuste, gietijzeren pan.
Uiteraard een stuk zwaarder dan een dunne anti-aanbak pan, en het duurt langer voordat deze op temperatuur is, maar dat hoort bij dit soort pannen.
Omdat de pan uit Amerika moet komen, relatief zwaar is en er uiteraard ook nog wat verdiend moet worden, kost het wel wat. Maar met een goede behandeling kun je deze pan makkelijk doorgeven aan de volgende generatie.

A seriously awesome pan, been using it non stop since i bought it and trying everything in it, from making the best steak ive ever made, to frying fish or frying perfect eggs or slow cooking veg. This pan is so easy to use, clean and never leaves any bad odours after use (like fish) and nothing sticks to it either. Use it on induction, gas or in the oven or over coals, it does it all and then  just wash it in some warm water with a soft brush and dry it right away and its ready to use again, definitely going to buy some from this brand... 

The pan works above expectation. It comes completely seasoned. And in induction stove the heating the pan is surprisingly quick.
Overall exceed the expectation after 2 weeks of use.

Je suis tout simplement bluffée. Je cherchais depuis longtemps des poêles saines, anti adhesives et surtout durables c'était LE critère car jeter tous les 2-3 ans ma batterie de poêles, à l'échelle d'une vie c'est un vrai désastre écologique... 
Certes l'étape du culottage est assez fastidieuse mais ça en vaut la peine. L'effet anti adhésif est incroyable, au début ce n'est pas parfait mais après un mois d'utilisation j'ai passé le test des oeufs sans matière grasse : ça n'accroche pas du tout. 
Le Point négatif comme beaucoup le soulève, le poids. Si vous avez un cambrioleur vous pouvez facilement vous en servir comme objet contondant, il faut dire que ça pèse son poids. Deuxième chise
Dans l'ensemble je suis très satisfaite et j'espère les garder très longtemps !
