This is the second Mora I've purchased and first impression is the excellent quality of Mora knives. The Kansbol is an excellent all round camp knife, great for whittling and carving, making feather sticks and equally good for food prep slicing and such. Being able to strike a ferro rod or make fatwood shavings using the sharp spine gives the knife even more functionality. So am I happy with my purchase, yes I am,the Kansbol is a quality tool which is easy to maintain although so far all I've had to do is strop the blade as edge retention is excellent, the sheath is functional and retains the blade well I can't see the knife coming out accidentally. Well priced, nicely packaged and delivered on time without issue.

Usual mora quality blade but with a better handle, it's also a good size as I have large hands and I'm confident it will not slip in my hand. I looked at a number of pretty hunting type knives but chose this for the safety sheath also. Definitely a repeat purchase.

Bought this because a) It's a Mora (that's usually enough), then b) because being a Mora means we can buy more of 'em... But seriously, this is an interesting hybrid bushcraft knife, with an (expected), Scandi grind on the rear half of the blade, then a tapering grind, as we move forwards to the tip... Not entirely sure why or what this is for, but it's still shaving-sharp out of the box (as we expect Moras to be), with the usual - exceptional - grip, half-tang and sharp spine for scraping. The REALLY interesting comparison will be between this Mora Kansbol and the Mora Garberg full-tang bushcraft blade that I also have on order from the USA (don't ask), which I'm hoping will define all outdoor cutlery for a long time to come.
