The **Opinel Parallèle N°116 bread knife** is a practical bread knife with a 21 cm long blade. Perfect when cutting soft and hard bread. It also won’t leave behind many crumbs.

**Note:** the serrated edge of this bread knife is on the left side of the blade. Ideal if you’re left handed, but still just as usable if you’re right handed.


The French company Opinel is well-known for their distinctive pocket knives, but they also make great knives for in the kitchen. These kitchen knives from the Parallèle-series are equipped with a wooden handle which is protected by a clear coating. Because of the coating, and of course the stainless X50CrMoV15 steel, they can go into the dishwasher. However, we always prefer to wash them by hand. There are different models which you can use for all kinds of work in the kitchen. The knives from the Opinel Parallèle-series are good value for money. Just like the regular Opinel knives, these kitchen knives can have their small imperfections in the finish here and there, but this is what gives them character. They are really user-friendly and always get the job done.

As sourdough is our only bread in our house a good knife is a must. The Opinel 116 bread knife has exceeded its expectations and is the only knife for us. As for delivery and service knives and tools are great to deal with and their efficient and professional standards is excellent. 

We hebben een broodmes van Herder maar deze van opinel is net zo goed en veel voordeliger.

Voor de prijs niet te evenaren. Vorm van het mes zorgt ervoor dat tot aan de snijplank goed te snijden is. Een echte aanrader!
