The **Rough Ryder Big Daddy** is a cool, traditional pocket knife. A real Barlow, but only a little bigger. hence the knife's name. You open this knife with two hands and a slipjoint prevents accidental closing. As such you can legally carry this pocket knife in many places in Europe.

## 440 blade steel

440 is a great, popular type of steel. It is corrosion resistant and easy to sharpen. It won't retain its sharpness for a really long time, but this is compensated by the fact that 440 is quite tough and easy to sharpen. This means you only occasionally have to maintain it a little to make sure you always keep a sharp knife close.

## Ram's Horn Bone handle

The handle is made from 'Jigged Bone'. This is basically cow bone that is enhanced with an interesting texture and colour. Bone, of course, is a natural material. As such small differences in terms of colour and shape, or any other small imperfections may occur. In this case the texture and colour is added as such it looks a like a ram's horn. But a lot more affordable.

Like Theodore Roosevelt's Rough Ryders these knives were named after, these knives are ready to be used. The prices are very appealing. However, this does mean that the finish might not always be perfect. Nothing major, and definitely in line with the prices. In case of natural materials such as wood, bone and horn it is possible to end up with small scratches around the pins. It is simply a part of the deal in this price range.

Grand couteau très esthétique. Son format en fait un très beau couteau de table, très coupant ! J'aime les couteaux traditionnels à prix modique comme celui-ci et le choix proposé par RR est intéressant. Hélas, le premier exemplaire reçu avait une lame tellement décentrée qu'il se repliait difficilement (chez RR la qualité est parfois aléatoire). Retourné pour échange. J'ai reçu le nouveau : très bien, le centrage n'est pas parfait, mais ça va, c'est beaucoup mieux que le précédent. Tout s'est très bien passé. Merci K & T.
