**Shapton Lapping Powder** is meant to help you lap your (Shapton) sharpening stones. The bottle is filled with fine aluminium oxide powder. You use this powder in combination with, for instance, the [Shapton Naoru Lapping System](/en/pt/-shapton-naoru-cast-iron-lapping-system-cast-iron-lapping-stone-0510.htm) or a glass lapping plate.


The fine lapping powder is used to lap sharpening stones with a grain size of 5000 or more. If you are planning to lap a sharpening stone with grain size of less than 5000, use the [medium lapping powder](/en/pt/-shapton-lapping-powder-silicon-carbide-granules-medium-0503.htm). Properly clean the lapping plate after use to make sure you grains are left behind.

It is great.
It removed the scratches on most of the stones after using M powder.
But on some I had to use Atoma plates.

Ho preso questo prodotto per lucidare a specchio le mie pietre arkansas e charnley forrest.
A dire la verità avevo preso una polvere economica(ossido di cerio) su un noto sito cinese perché la Shapton mi sembrava cara, ma si sono rivelati soldi buttati, ho strofinato per ore per un risultato molto modesto cioè la superficie era appena più lucida di quanto non fosse dopo il precedente passaggio con carta grit 1200.
Tanto é vero che non sapevo se insistere comprando l'originale perché, non avendolo mai provato a fare il dressing di una pietra, avevo paura che la differenza non fosse poi così importante.
Mi sbagliavo!.
Naturalmente, a seconda della durezza della pietra bisogna insistere abbastanza, ma il risultato vi premierà.
Ora, se si orienta nella giusta maniera, la faccia della pietra riflette a specchio ciò che si guarda, anche se la piera é perfettamente asciutta. 
E naturalmente questo risultato si ripercuote sul filo dei rasoi che metto in finitura lucidandoli in maniera che avrei detto impossibile prima del dressing delle pietre. 
Veramente un ottimo Prodotto!
