The Field Sharpening Kit includes the Skerper Pocket Stone, the Skerper axe sharpening stone and stropping compound. All this comes in a leather case that you can also use as a strop. ## Contents of the Skerper Field Sharpening Kit

  * The Skerper Pocket Stone diamond/ceramic sharpening stone, SO003. The Skerper Pocket Stone is a compact sharpening stone with two sides. One coarse side with diamond particles to sharpen damaged or blunt knives. And one fine ceramic side to sharpen your knife or axe razor-sharp. The grits 360 and 1000 make these ideal for your bushcraft knife. 
  * The Skerper axe sharpening stone 160/600, SO002. With the Skerper axe sharpening stone you can easily sharpen all large tools such as axes, machetes, lawnmower blades and even shovels. The round shape of this sharpening stone ensures that you can easily sharpen by hand. This is the preferred sharpening method for large tools.
  * The leather pouch keeps everything neatly organized and also doubles as a strop. The flap is large enough to strop both a knife and larger axes. 
  * A stropping compound is included.

## How to use the Skerper Field Sharpening Kit

### The Skerper Pocket Stone diamond/ceramic sharpening stone

You don't need water or oil to use this stone. You can immediately use it and when you are done simply pop it back in your pocket. We do, however, recommend rinsing it off occasionally with lukewarm water and perhaps some soap.

### Skerper axe sharpening stone

Before you use the stone we recommend submerging it a couple minutes before use. As such you end up with better results and the stone will last even longer. Allow the stone to slowly dry after use. Don't place it in the hot sun, or on a heater! Secure the sharpening stone between your fingers and place it on the edge. Move the sharpening stone over the edge with small circular movements. Try to keep the movements small. As such you also make sure the stone doesn't slip from your hand.

### The case with stropping compound
