This **Zwilling Pro chef's knife** is a real all-rounder in your kitchen. You use it when cutting vegetables, meat and fish, but also when, for instance, chopping herbs, crushing pepper corns or peeling a clove of garlic. As such a chef's knife will come in handy when making any type of dish.

The kitchen knives from the [Zwilling Pro collection](/en/ct/zwilling-pro-knives.htm) are enhanced with a blade that is forged from one piece of steel. The full tang blade seamlessly merges with the plastic handle. The handle is secured to the steel with three rivets. The transition between the handle and steel is seamless. No dirt can accumulate in between. These knives are enhanced with a classic design and appeal to those who prefer heavier knives. 

## Friodur steel chef's knife

The blade is made from ice-hardened Friodur steel. During this process the steel is heated in 4 stages to 1000°C and cooled to-70 °C. Zwilling perfected this technique, which guarantees optimum sharpness, sustainability, elasticity and corrosion resistance. The knife is sharpened in five steps and the result is a perfectly sharpened knife. The crop of the knife does not extend to the edge of the blade to make sure you can easily sharpen it on a sharpening stone. 

## Are the kitchen knives dishwasher safe?

Thanks to the seamless construction and the materials used, knives from the Zwilling Pro collection are dishwasher proof. We do, however, advise against it. Most types of detergent are namely too aggressive. In addition, it is possible that the knife could come into contact with other hard items in the dishwasher. This could damage the edge and wear out the knife.

Bonjour à tous ! Ce couteau est excellent, Karissa, sorti de son emballage il Tronchait très très bien. Ce couteau est excellent, car sorti de son emballage il Tronchait très très bien. J'ai affiner son tranchant avec un aiguiseur Horl en le passant avec les pierres 3000 et 6000 à 15° comme recommandé . Finition au strop , et il coupe comme un rasoir. Donc un excellent couteau. Et encore merci pour l'expédition ultrarapide..

Fijn koksmes, ligt zeer prettig in de hand!

Waanzinnig goed mes. De extra ronding ten opzichte van het klassieke mes is wel wennen, maar werkt heel goed bij het snijden van grovere groenten als pompoen enzovoorts. Het maakt uien snijden wel iets lastiger, maar daar gebruik ik toch m'n santoku voor.

Reden voor 4 sterren, is als je value-for-money wilt, neem dan een stamped knife van 3 tientjes. Deze is echt voor de looks en het unieke gebogen characters. Ik ben er iig erg blij mee

Een goed mes, handvat is wat groot waardoor minder handig voor kleinere handen. Ik raad aan om deze toch niet in de vaatwasser te wassen. Eigenlijk nooit een goed idee voor messen.
