When can you call binoculars professional?

When is a pair of binoculars considered a professional pair of binoculars? There are some specifications to look out for. For example, there are different types of glass. Professional binoculars always feature ED glass. This ensures that there is no discolouration (called chromatic aberration) and that edge sharpness is good. In addition, the binoculars need to be waterproof and the lenses can't fog up. This can be achieved by choosing nitrogen-filled binoculars. Finally, the binoculars should feature dioptre correction, and at least a BAK-4 prism.
