The MKM Normar is nothing short of exceptional. Despite being a true scandi grind, it slices with surprising ease thanks to its slim 3mm stock, making it an absolute joy for detailed carving and fine bushcraft tasks. The CPM-3V steel takes this knife to another level—edge retention is superb, and even after heavy use I’ve experienced zero chipping. Comfort is outstanding as well; the handle design makes extended carving sessions feel effortless, which is rare in many bushcraft knives. Beyond its performance, the Normar has an understated beauty that makes it just as pleasing to look at as it is to use. It’s a knife that blends rugged utility with refined craftsmanship. I can confidently say the Normar isn’t just a tool—it’s a true bushcraft companion that I highly recommend.
