The **Buck 104 Compadre Camp Knife** is a very solid fixed knife, meant for camping. The blade is made from 5160 carbon steel. A very tough type of steel that can handle its own. 5160 is only not stainless. For that reason Buck enhanced the blade with a matt-black Cerakote coating. As such rust is prevented.

 The handle is made from micarta. This is a composite material of linen and synthetic resin. It offers a lot of grip, and in wet circumstances even more. The fibres in the textile swell when wet. Great during a rainy camping trip.

 The Buck 104 Compadre comes with a leather belt sheath with a belt loop that has enough room for belts up to 6.5 cm wide.

Ein ganz besonderes BUCK - wunderbares Bushcraft- oder Outdoormesser in FullTang - es liegt hervorragend ausgewogen in der Hand mit gutem Grip, ordentlicher Klinge und schön gearbeiteter Lederscheide und einer gewissen Eleganz - ich bin begeistert !

sauf erreur de ma part il n'est pas précisé dans la description que la lame est à tranchant partiellement concave pour l'aiguisage ou affutage cela ne sera pas facile  / désalignement des plaquettes sur la poignée / super packaging ça rattrape !

Vraiment un très bon couteau. L'émouture creuse typique à Buck est vraiment tranchante et même inégalée pour beaucoup d'autres marques. Livré dans un beau coffret, un packaging qui fait plaisir. L'étui est de bonne facture. Le produit a été expédié rapidement ce qui est la force de cette société en dépit de ses politiques de prix parfois  élevée sauf pour ce modèle qui est aligné sur les concurrents. Juste une suggestion il serait parfois sage de faire des promos spécifiques pour les clients réguliers afin de les fidéliser d'avantages.

Bonne lame de taille moyenne avec une émouture creuse, typique Buck.
Le traitement thermique BOS est un gage de qualité et le couteau coupe fort.
Etui simple mais bien fait avec une bonne tenue du couteau.
Seul bémol de taille, mon exemplaire présente un désalignement des plaquettes micarta de 0.5mm par rapport à la lame, rendant la prise en main désagréable sans gants et inacceptable sur un couteau de ce prix et avec la marque Buck. 
Ceci est difficilement rattrapable, du fait de l'utilisation de vis avec détrompeur par Buck (à moins de changer ces vis !). Sans ce défaut, la prise en main aurait été parfaite pour des grandes mains.
Il y une baisse notable du contrôle qualité Buck sur les dernières production et c'est bien dommage.
