The **Fällkniven F1** is a top-quality survival knife, specifically designed for pilots from the Swedish air force. It took 8 years to develop this model. The result of many tests and changing the design is an advanced, well thought-out and safe knife which combines strength with a modern design. The Fällkniven F1 is versatile and can be used while hunting, camping or during trekking or survival adventures.

The blade is made from a core of VG10 steel laminated in between two layers of softer steel. As such the F1 retains its sharpness well, while at the same time it is a lot tougher than with a mono-steel construction.

The edge of the Fällkniven F1 is enhanced with a convex grind. This means that the blade is curved towards the edge. The result is an incredibly strong and sharp edge. To maintain this edge we recommend stropping it in time.

The handle is made from Thermorun. This is a rubber-like plastic that offers you enough grip. The fact that Fällkniven took the arctic climate of Sweden into account is clear when you look at the construction of the handle. The tang of the blade, the steel part that is located in the handle, is wrapped in Thermorun. As a result your hands won't freeze to the knife in very low temperatures. Even in the heat this works well because your hands won't burn if the knife was left in the sun for a while. So very well thought-out.

The Fällkniven F1 is one of the most popular outdoor knives ever. Its versatility, production quality and practical size make sure this knife can come in handy everywhere. This version with CoS-steel is even better.

une bonne lame qui ne demande qu'à travailler, c'est un plaisir de voir encore de nos jours une émouture convexe avec des finitions excellente, malheureusement le manche n'est pas vraiment ergonomique, il ne remplit pas bien la main et provoque une mauvaise sensation dans la main en cas d'utilisation prolongée, l'étui lui aussi n'est pas à la hauteur de la lame

J en ai déjà usé un ( 8annees), exelent couteau a tout faire, survie bushcraft qualité Fallkniven bien sûr

Prachtig mes van een kwaliteitsmerk. Geschikt voor bijna al het outdoor werk. Ligt lekker in de hand en een stick tang lemmet. Enig puntje van aandacht is de schede, deze is stevig, maar het mes rammelt in de schede. Dit is op te lossen door een stukje klittenband in de schede te plakken. Niet verder kijken gewoon kopen!!!
